Bug#545288: CUPS 1.4.0-4 doesn't find USB-printer
reopen 545288
found 545288 1.4.0-5
thanks
Hi!
I also have the same problem. I had usblp loaded and got:
usb 5-1: usbfs: interface 0 claimed by usblp while 'usb' sets config #1
I unloaded usblp and now, I get:
usb 5-1: usbfs: interface 0 claimed by usbfs while 'usb' sets config #1
I use default Debian kernel.
Linux neo 2.6.30-1-amd64 #1 SMP Sat Aug 15 18:09:19 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I cannot unload usbfs since it is built-in.
I have tried to restart cups, to mount /proc/bus/usb, to give
/proc/bus/usb/005/002 to cupsys, with no luck. BTW, here is lsusb:
Bus 005 Device 003: ID 051d:0002 American Power Conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 04e8:3008 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd ML-6060 laser printer
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
I don't know why kernel displays "usb 5-1" but if it is related to bus
5, device 1, there is some problem since the printer is device 2.
