I recently added a patch so that the cups backend runs non-world-exectuable backends as root, so that we don't need to install them as 700, but can use 744 (which is more Policy conformant). But apparently this breaks lpinfo -v. This was introduced in 1.3.8-10 (rootbackends-worldreadable.dpatch), thus affects Debian experimental and Ubuntu intrepid/jaunty. (For intrepid we should do an SRU, see LP #275407). I fixed that now. Martin -- Martin Pitt | http://www.piware.de Ubuntu Developer (www.ubuntu.com) | Debian Developer (www.debian.org)
