Package: cupsys
Version: 1.2.7-4
Severity: normal

After cups upgrade vom sarge to etch:

cups stops working with parallel port devices due to an access error on /dev/lp0

after a chmod 666 /dev/lp0 and restarting cups, it is woking again
until the next reboot or reload of the lp-kernel module, because
when udev is reloading /dev/lp0 with the default rights 660 root.lp /dev/lp0

either the default rights from cups are not fitting to the
udev generated rights of /dev/lp0 or udev must be reconfigured
to set 666 rights of /dev/lp0 (in this case the bug must be forwarded to
udev)

This should have been fixed when we dropped the "run as user" mode in
cups in 1.2.12-2. Closing bug. Please let us know if you still have
problems in Lenny.

Thank you!
