Hi,

the CUPS USB backend hogs the CPU when CUPS tries to print something,
but the printer isn't connected.

A strace on the backend shows this:
    open("/dev/usblp15", O_RDWR|O_EXCL|O_LARGEFILE) = -1 ENOENT (No such
    file or directory)
    open("/dev/usb/lp15", O_RDWR|O_EXCL|O_LARGEFILE) = -1 ENOENT (No such
    file or directory)
    open("/dev/usb/usblp15", O_RDWR|O_EXCL|O_LARGEFILE) = -1 ENOENT (No such
    file or directory)
And so on for usblp0 .. usblp15.

Please add an delay in this loop after all possible files are tried.

Regards,
Ansgar

This has been fixed by upstream in 1.3.7:
The Linux USB backend used 100% CPU when a printer was
    disconnected (STR #2769)
