Package: lprng
Version: 3.8.A~rc4-3
Severity: normal

Hello,

after updating lprng from 3.8.28dfsg.1-1.1 -> 3.8.A~rc4-3
it locks like that it doesn't listen anymore to port 515.
When invoking lpq on a remote host, the error message on the remote host is:
"cannot open connection - Connection refused"

netstat -a | grep 515
gives no listen service for port 515.

Downgrading to 3.8.28dfsg.1-1.1 solves the problem.

Greetings
	Juergen

It doesn't have the port open by default, the README.Debian describes
it.

Remote Users not being able to print
------------------------------------
LPRng version 3.6.A locked down the daemon even more than previous
versions.
By default the Debian package doesn't listen on the TCP port.

To enable remote connections to the LPRng lpd daemon, add the following
line to /etc/lprng/lpd.conf:
 lpd_listen_port=515
