Package: lprng
Version: 3.8.27-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/sbin/lpd

I'm not 100% sure that this is the real problem. Print jobs were
stalling in magicfilter with a WCHAN status of down_interruptible. Print
jobs usually work fine, so I was checking what was different.

The only thing I could see was that the command line to magic filter
didn't quote the args, and the jobs name had spaces:

/usr/sbin/magicfilter /etc/magicfilter/gdi-filter -AFamily@DELLBERRY+24 -CA -D2004-10-14-21:50:37.442 -Fl -HDELLBERRY -JFAO Schwarz - New York City -NFAO Schwarz - New York City -Plp -Qlp -a/var/log/lp-acct -b1019749 -c -d/var/spool/lpd/lp -edfA024DELLBERRY -fFAO Schwarz - New York City -hDELLBERRY -j024 -kcfA024DELLBERRY -l66 -nFamily -sst atus -t2004-10-15-15:07:02.000 -w80 -x1440 -y0 /var/log/lp-acct

I am not setting bk_filter_options in printcap, so it's whatever is the
default.

The jobs were coming in via WinXP SP2, which usually works fine. Maybe
SP2 changed something, I don't know.

If this is not a lprng bug please reasign it to magicfilter.

Hello,
About 3 years ago you reported this bug. There have been many changes
to lprng since then and I would say this bug should be fixed amongst all
those changes. If you are still having problems with a current version
of LPRng you are welcome to re-open this bug.
