The severity "grave" is inappropriate here; setting to normal. This
does not cause severe irretrievable data loss, for example, which is
what grave is about.

If you create a new print queue in CUPS and try to print a test page,
what happens?
Please could you set LogLevel to debug in cupsd.conf, restart CUPS and
try printing, then have a look at the log (you can attach it to your
reply).
If you have a look at the PPD file for the old and new queues (in
/etc/cups/ppd), are there any differences (you can compare with diff).
