Bug#460223: hplip-gui: icons are ugly

Package: hplip-gui
Version: 2.7.10-5
Severity: minor

The icons used for the XDG menu entries are really ugly, due to the use
of the deprecated XPM format.

It would be nice to ship 22x22 PNG and/or SVG icons with full alpha
blending, so that they integrate better in the menu. It would also be
better if they wouldn’t look like a giant HP advertisement; I don’t even
think the HP logo is DFSG-free, either.

I have made a 22x22 icon from the fax icon in gnome-icon-theme
(attached). As for the printing one, there are many of them, I can
recommend stock_print which looks neutral and is attached. You can even
stick a small HP logo on it if you feel this is really important.

Cheers,
