I will be uploading HPLIP 1.6.10 shortly, it should be available on all the
mirrors for Debian unstable in two or three days tops, depending on whether
I will be able to upload it today or tomorrow.

Please check if you can still reproduce the issue you observed with the
1.6.10 version, as it may have fixed the problem.

For users of Debian stable, a backport of 1.6.7 is available at
http://backports.org, please check if that version solves the problem you
reported.

In any case, please report back to the bug reports whether the new versions
fixed the problem or not.
