Package: gv
Version: 1:3.5.8-31
Severity: important
When starting gv with an absolute path, the following gs error occurs:
Execution stack:
%interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval--
Dictionary stack:
--dict:1048/1123(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:74/200(L)-- --dict:100/127(ro)(G)-- --dict:230/230(G)--
Current allocation mode is local
GPL Ghostscript 8.01: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
Running gs manually on the absolute filename isn't a problem, and both
programs work fine if given a relative path instead.
This leads to the absurd scenario of gv not being able to be used from a
file manager (because it launches it with an absolute path), but working
fine when launched from a terminal in the appropriate directory.
Thanks,
Euan.
