Yo!

The ASN.1 introduction document at 
<ftp://ftp.rsasecurity.com/pub/pkcs/ps/layman.ps> seems to crash gs when 
called from either gv, although it renders fine when gs is called directly 
with the same opions[1].  I haven't been able to get any error output etc., 
ps x just shows gs as a zombie process before any output was generated.

ghostscript is 8.01-5
