Bug#381386: No "Umlaut" in Debian sid/unstable when printing

Hi,

just wanted to confirm the bug is still there. My symptoms are similar. I
can see all accented chars nicely in OOo 2.0.3 or when exported/printed
to PDF. However, as soon as I print into a PS (or to the printer) the
accents are lost (german Umlaut here).

The strange thing is that it is depending on the used fonts.

If I chose "Bitstream Vera Serif", the "u are there, but "a and "o are
just regular a and o. With "Gentium", I get the "o but no "a and "u.
Using Microsofts "Times New Roman" I get no "Umlaute" at all (of
course :) and using "Luxi Serif" gives me all the accents. Yay!

For now I am using that font for all important documents, but I hope the
bug will be rectified asap! It should get a "critical" rating, since
printing accented chars seems to be like playing the lottery!

Versions are: gs-esp 8.15.2.dfs, CUPS 1.2.2-1, OOo 2.0.3-5

Cheers

Jens
