Bug#381930: hplip: OfficeJet Pro 1150C not recognized

Package: hplip
Version: 0.9.11-2
Severity: important

The OfficeJet Pro 1150C is connected via parallel port.
I can even print on it via CUPS and parallel:/dev/lp0.
But hp-setup (as root) does not recognize the printer.
So I'm not able to use it as a scanning device.
The handbook tells me to set the parallel port to either bidirectional
or ECP but not EPP mode, so I set it to ECP.
Tried to set to bidirectional but did not succeed to get a different
result.

Output of dmesg|grep par :
parport_pc: VIA 686A/8231 detected
parport_pc: probing current configuration
parport_pc: Current parallel port base: 0x378
parport0: PC-style at 0x378 (0x778), irq 7, using FIFO
[PCSPP,TRISTATE,COMPAT,ECP]
parport_pc: VIA parallel port: io=0x378, irq=7
lp0: using parport0 (interrupt-driven).

Output of dmesg|grep lp0 :
lp0: using parport0 (interrupt-driven).
lp0: ECP mode
