Severity: important

This is fscking outrageous! I can not print, bacause udev do not create
/dev/lp0 during boot at all. I am using lprng as my printer daemon.

This is from output of dmesg:

parport: PnPBIOS parport detected.
parport0: PC-style at 0x378 (0x778), irq 7, dma 3 [PCSPP,TRISTATE,COMPAT,ECP,DMA]

And this is from output of lsmod:

parport_pc 32036 0
lp 10532 0
parport 31624 2 lp,parport_pc

So, why udev do not create right device for parallel port out‐of‐box?
Aaaaaargh!1

Debian CUPS has already cared it.
But 1.2.1-1 and 1.2.1-2 won't work by a permission issue.
1.2.1-3 has the lp module loader in its init.d script.
1.2.2-1 loads ppdev module also for newer kernel.

I hope 1.2.2-1 will work on every parallel port user's environment.
(Is there any other modules we should load?)

Thanks,
