Bug#377079: cupsys: hp_laser (Default Printer) "Printer not connected; will retry in 30 seconds.

First, check you have a device /dev/lp0 in /dev.

You probably don't have the "lp" driver loaded.  Try "modprobe lp" and
then restart cups "sudo invoke-rc.d cupsys restart".  If that was
missing, you should have /dev/lp0 (if it didn't exist and you are
using udev).  Printing should now work.

If this fixes it, add "lp" to /etc/modules.
