Package: libcupsys2-dev
Version: 1.1.23-12
Severity: important

Hi,

on testing, apt-get install libcupsys2-dev gives me this error message

Die folgenden Pakete haben nichterfüllte Abhängigkeiten:
  libcupsys2-dev: Hängt ab: libcupsys2 (= 1.1.23-12) aber 1.1.23-15 soll
  installiert werden

(libcupsys2-dev: depends on libcupsys2 (= 1.1.23-12) but 1.1.23-15 is
  not to be installed)

The problem occurs because libcupsys2 and libcupsys2-dev in testing have
different version numbers (1.1.23-15 / 1.1.23-12). libcupsys2 isn't
updated because of a "dummy bug" in cupsys
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=343682)

It would be nice to getting the testing versions of libcupsys2-dev and
libcupsys2 to correspondent in version number.

Thank you.
Dirk Rathlev

As far as I can see from packages.debian.org and testing/Packages.gz,
libcupsys2 and libcupsys2-dev in testing are both 1.1.23-12.

Because both packages are created from same source, it's impossible
that the packages have different version numbers enter in testing.

I think this bug is caused by an accident around testing-migration
script or you write both testing and unstable repositories in your
sources.list.

Thanks,
