Package: cupsys
Version: 1.1.23-15
Severity: normal

>From the web interface, when I try to run "Configure Printer", I get
"Error: server-error-internal-error". The error logs don't provide
any information about the cause of the trouble, even at LogLevel
debug2.

To make a long story short, I found that this problem is caused by the
following combination of events:

(1) root exports environment variable TMPDIR=/tmp/root
(2) root runs /etc/init.d/cupsys restart
(3) A non-root user (in the lpadmin group), who can't read or write
$TMPDIR, signs onto the web interface and tries to run "Configure
Printer"

If root unsets TMPDIR and restarts cupsd, the problem goes away.

thanks

Now we uploaded CUPS 1.2.1 to unstable.
fixed-in-experimental bugs can be closed.

About #349341, I noticed I needed to modify the order of control file.
It's already fixed and will provide a correct dependency.

Thanks,
