There is nothing I can do about that. See

for a way to revert the breakage (in the last post of the bug log).
I am leaving the bug open in hplip instead of closing it to avoid more
duplicated reports. But I have set the libXft2 bug as a blocker for it.
I am cc'ing the libxft bug just for completeness, and to futher link the two
together.
