You are out of luck. Upstream mixed things so much that I am dropping
hplip-base.

I will reconsider this again when hplip goes 1.0.0 with fax support, but for
now it will be a single arch any package, plus hpijs (arch any), and the two
arch-all packages hplip-ppds and hplip-data.

hplip-base is gone with the 0.9.6-1 upload. The new packages conflict with
it, it should be impossible to upgrade to 0.9.6 and still remain with
hplip-base in the system.

Parts of hplip-data are needed by the basic daemons, and I am not going to
split hplip-data right now. A new package split will happen only when
upstream finishes fax support and releases 1.0.0, as I hope that things will
settle down, then.
