Severity: normal
lp -n 12 termine_studenten.ps
Fatal error - Maximum of 1 copies allowed
NAME
lp - send requests to an LPRng print service
[...]
OPTIONS
Options to lp always precede any file names, but may be specified in any order. The following options are available for lp:
[...]
-n number Print number copies (default is 1) of the output.
I don't really want to click on the print button 48 times for every copy I
need to print, if there is an option to print several copies, I expect is to
work. Or am I doing something wrong here?

lp is doing exactly what you asked it, please print 12 copies.
lpd is doing exactly what you asked it, the maximum number of copies is
1.
So lpd tells lp to go away, it will only print one copy.
The solution is the mc flag in either the printcap file or
lpd.conf
See either the lpd.conf.gz or printcap(5).
