Bug#339909: hplip-data has circular Depends on hplip
Package: hplip-data
Version: 0.9.6-1
Severity: important
Hello Henrique,
There is a circular dependency between hplip-data and hplip:
hplip-data:Depends: hplip (= 0.9.6-1)
hplip:Depends: python-qt3, lsb-base (>= 3), adduser (>= 3.34), cupsys (>= 1.1.20), hplip-data (= 0.9.6-1), libc6 (>= 2.3.5-1), libcupsys2 (>= 1.1.23-1), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.0.2), libsnmp9 (>= 5.2.1.2-3), libssl0.9.8, libstdc++6 (>= 4.0.2-3), python (>= 2.3), python (<< 2.4)
Circular dependencies known to cause problems during upgrade, so we
should try to get rid of them.
Since hplip-data is a data package, it is quite likely it does not need
actually to depend on hplip and removing this dependency would
remove the circular dependency, so I would suggest you do so.
