Package: gimp
Version: 2.0.0-4
Severity: normal

I'm using two printers through a local CUPS dameon, both PS-aware. I
can print with the first one under the Gimp, but not with the second
one. The problem seems to come from UI code in the Print dialog.

I've setup both printers as "PostScript Level 2" printers, and I've
taken the PPD for each printer under /etc/cups/ppd/ for my Gimp
configuration. The problematic printer works perfectly under
 OpenOffice.org or with lpr.

I've put the problematic PPD at:
 <http://people.via.ecp.fr/~lool/ppd/>
inexbee_hp_laserjet_1300n.ppd is the foomatic PPD for my first printer,
  and worls nice
inexbee_hp_officejet_g85.ppd is the foomatic PPD for a HP OfficeJet
  G85, and causes problem.

I believe configuring a PostScript 2 printer with the second PPD and
selecting the A4 paper size should trigger the bug.

I can print with any size except A4.

If I can provide more information, or if this is more gimpprint
 related, let me know.

   Regards,

This bug was fixed for sarge (that is, the original problem you
reported).

I have filed a bug report upstream for the other bits you mentioned
(poor spooler integration, bug 1258920). Hopefully we will be able to
improve this in the future.
