Re: libreoffice Rust-UNO binding on ppc64el (and ppc64)

Hi,

Am 27.11.25 um 07:17 schrieb Rene Engelhard:
while it builds (and cargo test works) LibreOffice 26.2 new Rust->UNO bridge apparently does not work on ppc64el:

https://ci.debian.net/packages/libr/libreoffice/unstable/ppc64el/66501939/#S56

(verified on the porterboxes, also for ppc64el. All other archs I tried so far worked - even loong64...)

This is how it should look like (s390x here, the rest also works where it is present but either is not tested by ci
or has a too big log (amd64) to hace a link to link too in the fancy pages):

https://ci.debian.net/packages/libr/libreoffice/unstable/s390x/66598193/#S56

After experiments on the porterboxes for more architectures:

It seems ppc64(el) are the only two architectures in Debian (and Debian ports) affected. On any other architecture where it is built
(64bit archs except riscv64 which is too slow/hangs + i386) the test works.

If one can't figure out what is wrong immediately (which I understand), at least telling what calling it manually in the UI gives would maybe be helpful.
Or we really would need to disable that one on ppc64(el) - which is already in git but of course can be reverted.

Regards,

Rene
