I re-installed Debian SID on the PPC Cube from the 09 Nov 2020 CD.

After the GRUB installation failure, I see that there is a /var/log/partman and a /var/log/syslog, but no /var/log/installer/.  These appear to be the relevant lines in syslog (but I'm also attaching the syslog file in case it turns out to be helpful).

There were also many CD errors reported in syslog, but they do not appear to be serious (no errors were reported during the installation other than GRUB).  I've already confirmed that the CD was downloaded and written correctly.
