This is the kernel image, not the GRUB image.
The boot script has:
<BOOT-SCRIPT>
boot &device;:&partition;,\System\Library\CoreServices\grub.elf
</BOOT-SCRIPT>
So, try booting \\System\Library\CoreServices\grub.elf.
