For PowerMac G5 use the powerpc image, not 64el. The G5 is POWER4 based,and ppc64el is for POWER8 systems. See https://wiki.debian.org/ppc64elfor the minimum requirements.


The powerpc iso of Debian includes a 64-bit kernel for the G5.
