Salut Gilles,
I've got a baremetal machine here, and I can do some testing if you want.
Do you have the .deb available for download ?

Great! Thanks for the offer :)

The packaging needs a bit of polishing. Because I can't install my own
bluegen2 packages into the porterbox chroot to build libjogl2-java against.
Would you mind building from the source packages? I should have them
ready by this evening.

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm trying hard to have a functional gluegen2 / libjogl2-java on ppc64el
so that scilab could be usable. See #798652 and #779482.

I encounter difficulties testing my builds on a porter box because they
don't offer remote X display (or I don't know how to achieve it). My
current configuration uses a vncserver from inside a sid schroot on the
porter box. Not that comfortable :/

To the actual problem: my test now fails with:
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
#
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00003fffa95ee284, pid=9911, tid=70366626443680

# JRE version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment (7.0_85-b01) (build 1.7.0_85-b01)
# Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (24.85-b03 mixed mode linux-ppc64
compressed oops)
# Derivative: IcedTea 2.6.1

# Problematic frame:
# V [libjvm.so+0x54e284] jni_GetLongField+0x74

And I'm unable to state whether this is due to my clumsy VNC
configuration or to a broken gluegen / jogl build.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

_g.
