I know this is a debian mailing list.
But, with the suggested work arounds for getting a working nouveau drm. I
was able to get a 3.18.16 working "out of the box". With nothing more
than a startx to get going. So, a big thanks to
Peter Saisanas for
the input and suggestions. I for one had a lot of problems with 4.1+
kernels. Booting yes. But working Xorg with a desktop was an
emphatically no.
