Xvfb will never support hardware acceleration. Assuming glxinfo says the
same thing for your Xorg display, we need to see the /var/log/Xorg.0.log
file to determine why 3D acceleration fails to initialize.

This message isn't your problem, because...

... the required information can be retrieved from the OpenFirmware
device tree.
