Re: 3D acceleration for Radeon 9600 Pro chip on PowerBook G4

I was able now to compile and install the patched deb. I rebooted and everything looked it was working fine. So I commented out the line that defined the depth to 16 and rebooted. Still 3D is not working with 24 depth. I am going to stay with how things are. I got 3D woking on 16 depth. I hope someone comes for for a fix. Thanks all for your help.

I did see all of my 2G of RAM being use but not my entire 3G of swap. Is
my powerbook just unable to compile this?

Looks like it. This is a known Mesa upstream issue which should be fixed in the upcoming 10.4.0 release by http://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/commit/?id=cfeb394224f2daeb2139cf4ec489a4dd8297a44d.
