I see where powerpc support has been _removed_ from avian on Apr 30: https://github.com/ReadyTalk/avian/commit/41adb74eb1895c662920fdfb7467ce415d9fa0b7 This would explain why it doesn't run for us. It looks like powerpc is a dying architecture ...
