There some modules to enable or disable because there where
"blacklisted" and your kernel can't use them.
comands that can help:

dmesg

lsmod

modprobe

Place to look for config files:

/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

That depends on your machine, this was an example.
Maybe an expert user can help you a bit more.
