Re: Bug#736130: linux-image-3.12-1-powerpc64 crashes during shutdown of PowerPC G5 Mac. But PowerPC g4 Mac (23-bit) works OK.
One additional bit of information that may help -- Wheezey ( the 3.2 ppc64 kernel ) doesn't have this problem on this machine.
