radeon_cp: Failed to load firmware "radeon/R200_cp.bin"

I am running a linux debian lenny + bpo on a mac mini g4. I discover
a problem reported by dmesg:

radeon_cp: Failed to load firmware "radeon/R200_cp.bin"

so I thought I would just need to do:

$ sudo apt-get install firmware-linux firmware-linux-nonfree

however it fails with:
