vlc on ppc

Hi,

I try to play a dvd with "VLC media player 1.0.4 Goldeneye".

I get the following error message:

It plays well wih xine. vlc on i386 and amd64 works well as well with the same
$HOME.

Can someone point me to the right direction please?
