Since you ask: Rebuilding everything at once (via binary-only NMUs)
is a lot of work, and IMHO unlikely to happen, at least in the near future.

Most probably, this is what will happen:

1. We release etch.
2. The fixed gcc is uploaded for unstable (4.1.1ds2-30 is in experimental).
3. Maintainers and autobuilders upgrade to the new gcc.
4. Then, every new powerpc package will be built using the new gcc.
5. The bug will be fixed eventually in all packages. Whether or not we want
to accelerate the process when it's near completion is another story.
