You have to install IBM's Java VM, because Sun Java doesn't support
PowerPC. Then you can install NetBeans like for any x86 Linux.

IBM's Java can be found here:

The 32bit iServer/pServer release is what you need.

You can read further helpful hints here (the article is for an older
NetBeans, and for OpenSUSE, but the basic rules worked for me with
latest NetBeans and with Debian):

With these sources of information, I successfully installed NetBeans \
