Re: /dev/pmu permissions, again

Hello,

I am receiving a slightly different message:

"No /dev/pmu found".

Everything seems to be working OK so I'm ignoring the error but is there a way to make it go away?

thanks,

Ignore the error. I don't think /dev/pmu should be user-accessible. Not
sure why the gnome-settings-daemon think otherwise.

The control-center package in in pkg-gnome svn already contains a patch to
just ignore this error.

It should be accessed through HAL (which btw, does almost everything now)

Yeah, either that or gnome-power-maanger should handle the brightness keys
instead of gnome-settings-daemon..
