No, you don't need any such option, or you need the root=/dev/mem or
root=/dev/ram option, since you want to boot from the ramdisk.

The root=/dev/sd* will only be needed for the post-install reboot, and if you
are lucky, quik will do the right thing for you and you will not even need to
worry.
