Re: eth0 and eth1 mixed
An alternative way to do this is with interface mapping with the
ifupdown scripts.
Try:
# install -m 755 /usr/share/doc/ifupdown/examples/get-mac-address.sh \
/usr/local/bin
add this to your /etc/network/interfaces (Substituting in your mac
addresses, see /sbin/ifconfig -a | grep HW)
auto eth0 eth1
mapping eth0 eth1
script /usr/local/bin/get-mac-address.sh
map 11:22:33:44:55:66 sungem
map AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF ieee1394
iface ieee1394 inet dhcp
pre-up /bin/false #Will not bring up
iface sungem inet dhcp
# Whatever yo want here
