Hi everybody!
I'm running Sarge with an 2.6.8-powerpc-smp on PowerMac Dual-G4. Since a
couple of days I don't get my external usb-hdd working (neither the usb
memory stick). I can't remember any changes, new kernel or drivers or
something. When I attach the hdd dmesg give this:
drivers/usb/input/hid-input.c: event field not found
drivers/usb/input/hid-input.c: event field not found
eth0: no IPv6 routers present
usb 2-1.3: new full speed USB device using address 5

When I try to mount it (mount /dev/sda1 /media/esterno), it simply hangs
(I tried also as root from a terminal but its always the same):
ps aux | grep mount
bjosch 4360 0.0 0.1 3104 1352 ? S 08:54 0:00 sh -c
/bin/mount '/media/esterno' 2>/tmp/kde-bjosch/kio_fileA3stba.tmp
root 4361 0.0 0.1 2412 792 ? D 08:54 0:00
/bin/mount /media/esterno
bjosch 4433 0.0 0.1 2272 820 pts/1 S+ 08:55 0:00 grep mount
I don't see where the problem lies. Has anyone any idea? Any comments
are appreciated. If you need further information, configs or others
please let me know. Thanks.
Bye.
