I don't know about macchanger , but in a general discussion the only
problem you can have changing the mac address of your interface is if in
your local network there is yet another interface with tha address
you're gonna use.
Does anybody know whether or not there might be any adverse impacts of
running macchanger to alter the MAC address of the network interface in
a new Powerbook G4?
Is this a firmware level change? How does macchanger work?
The change is at software level since the only thing your system have to
do is use the new mac address whenever needed. You can do this by
Ifconfig or IP command.
