Yes, just 
echo 5 > /sys/devices/temperatures/limit_adjust

(limit is 50 + limit_adjust). Verify the setting with
cat /sys/devices/temperatures/cpu_limit 
which should be 55 after that.

Just don't go to high (> 60 may be risky).
