Having another flavour means having a totally enormous
linux-kernel-di-powerpc, using another 6.5MB or so of space on
debian-installer CD images (which pushes us pretty close to the wire for
businesscards) or else generating another complete image (also
expensive), means extra logic in archdetect and base-installer, requires
more boot configuration, uses up about 27MB more space on powerpc CD 1,
etc. It's not cheap at all.

Speaking as the person currently doing powerpc 2.6 support in d-i, this
lot is going to be a pain to support in a full release.
