old airport cards (the ones that look like a pcmcia card)
cannot at all be used in new g4's. (and g5's as well)

you need to get the new model.

i would just go sell you old card on ebay and go buy a
new one.

although if your apple dealer sold you the card promising
it would work - go and see if they can get it to go ;)
