Same here - make vmlinux worked for me. I also have a problem with the
patched orinoco 0.11b source with 2.4.25-ben1:
ibook:/home/chs/orinoco-0.11b# insmod orinoco.o
orinoco.o: unresolved symbol xmon_printf
orinoco.o: unresolved symbol xmon
