TiBook DRM/DRI question...

I have looked at many a Linux of Tibook install pages and I have not
found a clear answer to the current status of DRI/DRM support within
Xfree and the Kernel. I am running Debian Unstable on a TiBook IV.
Kernel version is 2.6.5, and I have XFree86 4.3.

I tried to research the legions of webpages and mailing list archives
with instructions for Linux on TiBooks and all of them refer to getting
Daenzer's Xfree DRI trunk. I tried to follow those instructions, but
the I had some problems making the modules. Anyway, I tried just using
the radeon module from the kernel and it seems to be working...How can I
verify this? I tried glxinfo and it seems that DRI is functioning.
glxgears looks fine, as does tuxracer....

So, do I need the Daenzer's XFree stuff or does the vanilla Kernel and
Xfree work?

Brady
