Contrast problem when playing DVDs

Hi,

Contrast is really bad when playing a DVD on my ibook G4 (radeon 9200
mobility, 0x5c63). I'm using latest Xfree (4.4.0, self compiled), kernel
2.6.4.
DRI and Xv work. Anyone knows how to set the contrast/brightness etc ?

(I'm guessing this is a video card problem, because mplayer, ogle and
totem present the same problem).
