system crashing

Hi,

I'm running a ubuntu-4.10 debian-based distribution, w/ a linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-powerpc kernel, a xfree86-4.3.0.dfsg.1-6 x11 server... and I can see my system crashing randomly and regularly.

when it crashes, it doesn't print any readable log (syslog), it stops respond to ICMP requests, etc... the only founded solution was to reboot the box. :c(

note that I'm running my debian on a PowerBook G4 15" 1.5GHz w/ 1Go of memory, a "ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10]" video card, ...

if anyone may help me... it would really be useful :cb
thanks in advance ;c)
