Well, the card claims to be a mini-pci but it looks nothing like any
standard mini-pci card. I think the Apple Airport Extreme card is the only

I do not want to be rude but, where do you put the PCMCIA in a iBook/PowerBook G4?

For the newest hardware, I believe only the 15" and 17" PowerBooks have PCMCIA, the G4 iBooks do not.

You can still find a few new but recently discontinued G3 iBooks #M8758LL/A that use the original Airport card.
